Little Lock Book

Your Lock Book, in ChatGPT and Claude.

Ask your assistant to save a place you hear about, and to look up the ones you have already saved.

What it does

It saves what you hear, and finds what you have.

Ask it to save a place and the place arrives in Waiting to be added on your home screen. You finish the card yourself, so nothing appears in your Lock Book without you.

Ask it something like what restaurants have I saved in Sydney, and it searches your cards and your lists, then gives you back your own notes with the address, the phone number and the website.

Setting it up

Do this once, on a laptop.

Assistants only let you add a connection from their website, not from their phone app. After that it works everywhere, your phone included. Both ask for the same address:

In Claude

  1. Go to claude.ai and sign in.
  2. Open Settings, then Connectors, under Customize.
  3. Choose Add, then Add custom connector.
  4. Name it Little Lock Book, paste the address above into MCP server URL, and choose Continue.
  5. Choose Connect next to Little Lock Book in the list.
  6. Sign in with your Little Lock Book email and the six digit code we send you.
  7. Allow all three: search your cards, search your lists, save to your inbox.

In ChatGPT

  1. Go to chatgpt.com and sign in.
  2. Open your Plugins.
  3. Choose Add, then Add custom MCP server.
  4. Name it Little Lock Book, paste the address above into Server URL, and leave Authentication set to OAuth. The description and icon are optional, and only you ever see them.
  5. Tick I understand and want to continue, then choose Create as a plugin.
  6. Sign in with your Little Lock Book email and the six digit code we send you.
  7. In a new conversation, type @Little Lock Book to use it.

What it can see

Your cards, as far as you allow.

It sees cards you made yourself, and by default only the ones you share with your whole circle. It does not see cards other people shared with you, notes other people wrote, personal contact details, or your private cards unless you allow them. It cannot change or delete anything.

To change what it can see, or to disconnect it, open Profile then Connected AI Assistants in the app. Disconnecting takes effect straight away.
